Performing Arts

THE MAGIC OF THEATRE

91香蕉视频IOS下载’s Performing Arts Program offers our students incredible experiences and almost unteachable lessons.

Each year our students take centre stage in multiple performances including our Junior School Mini Musical Extravaganza, Middle School and Senior School productions. The whole community looks forward to seeing our actors, singers and dancers performing on stage supported by our talented musicians.

Excellence & Excitement
on Stage

The world of performing and visual arts at 91香蕉视频IOS下载 provides yet another range of opportunities for students to build confidence and excel. Whether learning an instrument, singing, acting, filming, sketching or sculpting, students are encouraged to perfect their craft. There鈥檚 something for everyone from the classic to the contemporary. It鈥檚 incredibly enjoyable, of course, but there are also challenges to face; theory to master, rehearsals to attend and skills to develop. It鈥檚 at our concerts and art exhibitions that we see the extraordinary product of the learning, creative thought, collaboration and hard work that鈥檚 been invested. You won鈥檛 want to miss these opportunities to celebrate student expression with us!

The professional quality of these productions accounts for our undeniable reputation for excellence in Performing Arts. Productions have included Into The Woods, Legally Blonde The Musical, Anything Goes, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin Junior, Wicked, Hairspray Junior, Mamma Mia, Peter Pan Junior, Little Shop of Horrors, Madagascar Junior, Jesus Christ Superstar, Seussical Jr and Chicago.

Students from Prep to Year 4 join together to participate in, what is for many, their very first on-stage performance in the annual Mini Musical Extravaganza.

Our Middle School and Senior School productions are selected with the aim of stretching the 70+ performers. This extra-curricular program is clearly not just about those on the stage. They provide many more students with opportunities to experience being part of the cast or crew and fully experience the Performing Arts. Students also develop their talents in set construction, costume design, production artwork, publicity, sound, lighting, and staging.

Other opportunities for students to develop and pursue interests in performing arts include:

  • Year 8 monologue performances – writing monologues about their life experiences
  • Five-day Adelaide Fringe festival tour, encompasses up to 10 live performances
  • Year 9 and 10 Drama and Theatre students public performances each semester
  • In partnership with the Frankston Arts Centre – exclusive access to performances and performers including workshops and masterclasses.
